    Monica Friday slams Zubby Michael over AMVCA comment

    Actress and Instagram comedienne, Monica Friday has slammed colleague, Zubby Michael over his comments on the just concluded AMVCA 2020.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Zubby Michael had thrown a jab at the organizers, adding that it was a ‘Yoruba award’

    “I am sure most of the organizer are Yoruba. They did not even recognize the pillars or Nollywood, the original owner of loving in Bondage was not mention but new living in Bondage got 8 awards, our dead heroes like Sam Loco and others where not mentioned, Award without people that made Mama G, Ski and Paw paw, Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo”, he wrote.

    In her reaction, Friday stated that the organizers have a right to bestow the award on whomever they deem fit.

    “How they judge a movie is not your business. You are not part of the panel of judges.Stop coming out and misleading the public.Go and carve your own award and give to the ancestors, she said in the video.

    Nigerian actress and comedienne, Monica Friday has revealed that she is not keen about flaunting relationship on social media.

     

    The svelte Ajegunle born entertainer said: “I am a very romantic person but I am not a fan of relationship show-off on social media. Mostly, I keep marital status, educational qualifications, family and close friends off social media. Reasons are best known to me. I’m that type that will get married and it may not be on social media,”, she told The Sun.

     

    Asked If she is considering going under the knife, Friday said:“I have got a natural, hot, sexy body fit for my career. I won’t go under the knife for any reason. I’m perfect just the way I am”.

    Outspoken Friday also recounted that 2019 was a tough year for her.

     

    “2019 was the most challenging year ever, but super amazing. Solutions came all through my tough moments. Most importantly, my blessings were uncountable. 2020 is here and I’ll be buying a private jet. I have that feeling. It’s my money year. I have been doing ‘Chronicles of Ejiro’ for a while now. It was inspired by love for money. When you are a content creator, you will surely make money, almost immediately, or in the nearest future. I know I am very creative but I can never take a lesbianism or 100% nudity role,” she stated.

    Rising actress, Monica Friday shot into limelight through the TV series, ‘Do Good’. The svelte role interpreter who has starred in movies like ‘Wives on strike’, ‘First Lady’ has said few producers demanded sex in exchange for movie roles.

    Monica made this known in a chat with The Sun.

    Hear her: “Do Good was my break. The platform was huge; it was showing on 53 African countries. After that, I was in Wives On Strike, First Lady, Unspoken and lots more. I have always loved the art, though I never planned to be an actress. I was active in drama and dance from childhood. I started attending auditions after my secondary school. I waka tire and the fake filmmakers were more than the real ones. But one good thing about me was that I was never desperate. Few producers offered me roles for sex and I flew away like a golden bird”.

    On how she got into the movie industry, she revealed that acting became her passion after she saw Liz Benson in her dream.

    “Acting became my first priority when I had a dream about a popular actress, Liz Benson. It’s something I hardly share; it is divine. It was just a clear vision that I belong to the entertainment industry,” she said.
