JUST IN: Senate to honour brave Ejiro who averted danger by diverting fuel laden tanker on fire to riverside in Delta

The Senate has resolved to honour Ejiro Otarigho, the brave tanker driver who drove a burning tanker from the danger zone to avert a tragic fire incident in Agbarho, Delta State.

It also recommended Ejiro to President Muhammadu Buhari for National Honours.

This followed a motion moved by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (APC, Delta Central) and co-sponsored by Senator James Manager (PDP, Delta South) and Senator Peter Nwaoboshi (APC, Delta North) on Tuesday’s plenary.

The driver of fuel-laden tanker that caught fire but the resilient and courageous guy risked his life and drove it to an unpopulated riverside to avert human and property casualties.

The Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and other prominent Deltans had since Friday that the incident occurred have been pouring encomiums on the young Ejiro Otarigho.
