UCL: Manchester City coach, Guardiola named best manager of all time

Former Real Madrid defender,  Jonathan Woodgate has noted that winning the Champions League with Manchester City has finally confirmed Pep Guardiola as the greatest manager of all time.

Rodri’s goal in the 68th minute helped Manchester City win the trophy for the first time in their history.

Woodgate, speaking to BBC Radio Live, hailed the Spaniard for his innovative work.

“It confirms Pep Guardiola is the greatest. He changes the way we look at football. He’s an innovator. He puts people in different positions and he makes it work.

“He improves every player he works with and if someone doesn’t want to work with him, he gets them out of the team.

“He installs a great team spirit, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland have talked about it. Tonight the spirit got him over the line,” he said.
