UCL: City, Leipzig progress to second round

 

Two teams have secured qualification to the round of 16 in this season’s UEFA Champions League after Tuesday’s round of games.

Manchester City progressed thanks to a 3-0 thrashing of Young Boys at the Etihad.

Erling Haaland scored a brace while Phil Foden also got on the scoresheet as the Premier League champions maintained their 100% record so far.

The second team that has qualified for the knockout rounds is RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga side beat Crvena Zvezda 2-1 to book their place.

In the other games played on the night, AC Milan claimed a famous 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid thrashed Celtic 6-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Shakhtar Donetsk shocked Barcelona 1-0, while FC Porto saw off Antwerp 2-0.
