The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed the release of Ms Ebehireme Blessing Ekwe, the Supervisory Presiding Officer kidnapped on the eve of the Bayelsa State Governorship Election.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ms Ekwe was released on Saturday night as confirmed by the electoral umpire.

In a statement by Wilfred Ifogah, Head of Voter Education & Publicity Department in Bayelsa, INEC disclosed Ekwe is doing fine, following her release.
The Commission thanked all those who acted and showed concern in ensuring the safe release and return of the INEC official.
