Iheanacho grabs brace as Leicester City outclass Manchester United

2026 WCQ: No contract renewal as Kelechi Iheanacho departs Leicester City

Super Eagles defender, Kelechi Iheanacho has left Leicester City as a free agent seven years after pitching his tent with the Foxes.

The Nigerian joined the Foxes from Manchester City in 2017/18 season.

The 27-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of June, 2024.

Iheanacho scored 61 goals in Leicester’s colours, including the winner against his former club in the FA Community Shield final at Wembley in August 2021.

The Foxes also announced they are in talks with his compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi, over a new contract.

Ndidi’s current contract will end at the end of the month.

Iheanacho has already gotten offers from Aston Villa and Everton but it remains to be seen which club he would lace his boot for next season.
