Nigerian content creators, more supportive than musicians – Gilmore

Nigerian content creator and skit maker Muhammad Gilmore Adekunle, popularly known as Gilmore, has expressed the view that Nigerian content creators show more significant support than Nigerian musicians.

Gilmore, during a recent interview with Hip TV, attributed this collaborative spirit to being an essential factor contributing to Nigerian content creators’ outstanding success.

He believes that this mutual support is the key and the reason why content creators in Nigeria are experiencing and gaining favourable outcomes in their chosen paths.

He said, “Content creators enjoy massive success because it (the content creating industry) is more supportive than the music industry”.

The skit maker emphasized the crucial role social media plays in their accomplishments, pointing out that audiences prefer consuming content on their mobile devices rather than the television.

“This is 2024; everybody is on their phone. People no longer watch TV. You can make money off social media,” he further said.
