Asake: Popular Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa accused of theft

Popular Nollyood actress, Dayo Amusa has been called out for stealing a Canadian-based media and communications specialist, author and advocate for women’s and children’s rights, Esther Ijewere’ content on social media.

TheNewsGuru recalls that the Amusa, while reacting to the recent controversy rocking singer Asaka said that when Asake covered his face tattoos, she felt he was rebranding or masking a pain.

She added that fame does not heal the pain of parental rejection and she can relate because she is a victim of similar circumstances.

However, in a new development, the owner of the content, Ijewere took to her Facebook page on Saturday to call out the actress, stating: “Dear Dayo Amusa, You took my post from my Facebook page and shared it as your own on Facebook and Instagram without giving me proper credit.

“Please do the right thing and acknowledge my work. It’s important to respect and credit the original creator.”

After Ijewere’s complaint, Amusa immediately deleted her Facebook post and updated her Instagram post by adding “#copied” while disabling the comments section.
