The Rivers State Government has reacted to the declaration of State of emergency by President Bola Tinubu.
TheNewsGuru reports that Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday evening declared a state of emergency, after which suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu for six months.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, while speaking to newsmen, expressed that it would be unwise for the government to form a stance at this early stage
He indicated that it is premature to comment on the presidential announcement.
“The president has made a declaration and what do you think we can say. I think it is too hasty to make any comment about it,” Johnson told Vanguard.
