TikTok star, Peller under hot fire over remark on #30dayrantchallenge

Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, the TikTok star better known as Peller, has come under heavy criticism for asking young people who are currently ranting on the app to go to the market instead.

TheNewsGuru reports that thousands of Nigerian youths have taken to social media, particularly TikTok, to express their frustration over the difficult living conditions under President Bola Tinubu’s government.

The #30DaysRantChallenge, was first initiated by Youth Corper Rita “Raye” Ushie Uguamaye who openly criticized President Tinubu, calling his administration, “terrible.”

Participants, particularly young people in the challenge have been voicing their complaints about the economic hardships they are facing.

In reaction, Peller, as he’s fondly called, in an emotional outburst during a recent session urged Tiktoksters to stop the rants.

He further urged anyone who’s not satified with the Tinubu’s administration to go to the market to voice their frustration rather on TikTok.

This, however did not sit well with many who have called him out for giving such command on TikTok.

Deji Adeyanju, the Human rights lawyer and activist, called out the internet sensation for making such insensitive comment. He wrote: “Who’s this boy saying people should not rant on TikTok? Is TikTok your father’s house? Shouldn’t you be in school instead of on TikTok? Are you not too young to be doing TikTok? You have no right whatsoever to tell Nigerians how to express their frustration!”

Another X user Dave wrote: ”I hate this guy called Peller, maybe when you guys stop gifting him he will know people are suffering.”

Peller wrote: “Never really grow he no sabi talk and na cos say he don get money na why he Dey talk rubbish if to say he Dey suffer like others he no go talk tr@sh.”
