Abducted Nasarawa traditional ruler, Omanji rescued by security operatives

His Royal Highness, Mr Emmanuel Sarki Omanji, the Sangari of Dari, who was abducted by gunmen from his residence in Dari village, Kokona Local Government Area, has been rescued.

The monarch was reportedly kidnapped on May 28 at about 8:00 p.m. by unknown gunmen who stormed his residence along Amba Road.

The ttraditional ruler was rescued unhurt by security forces at about 9:00 p.m. on June 2 at Panwasa Mountains near Mada Station, following sustained pressure from the troops.

Security sources confirmed that the rescued Monarch was immediately taken to the General Hospital in Garaku for medical evaluation and has since been reunited with his family.
