Angry Benue youths on Wednesday took to the streets to remove every flag of the All Progressive Congress (APC) following President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the state.
Recall that the Benue State Government declared June 18 a public holiday in honour of the president’s visit to commiserate with the government and people over incessant security crises.
The president’s visit follows public outcry over his initial silence after a string of violent attacks that left over 200 dead in the communities across Benue.
In the video, several youths were seen tearing down flags of the ruling party after President Tinubu’s visit.

The move is coming days after hundreds of youths carried different placards with inscriptions such as “A Cry For Help: Stop Benue Killings”, blocking the Abuja-Makurdi highway.
The youths also dressed in black, carried palm fronds and barricaded the busy highway, disrupting vehicular traffic which left motorists and commuters stranded.
The protests come barely 24 hours after armed Fulani herdsmen attacked the Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area, where over 200 people were reportedly killed on Saturday.
