Apostle Joshua Selman, a renowned Nigerian preacher and founder of Eternity Network International (ENI), marked his 45th birthday on Wednesday.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Apostle Selman, born 25th June 1980, marked his 45th birthday, distributing 6000 bags of rice to members of his congregation and the needy.
It was gathered that the auditorium at Chida Event Centre, where Selman holds the Koinonia weekly apostolic and prophetic meeting in Abuja, was filled to the brim. The two overflow halls were also filled to the brim with hundreds of people waiting in queues outside the event centre.
“We are going to be distributing the welfare materials. I know that there are so many people. Some of you have waited impatiently outside to just receive that,” Apostle Selman acknowledged.
Selman instructed that every member of his congregation, including the workers, must get a bag of rice, whether they need it or not, stressing, “in this house, charity begins at home”.
Speaking on the reason he decided to share the bags of rice to mark his birthday, he said: “Let me tell you why I do this. It is not a show. It is an opportunity to be able to give, and it is my seed.
“When I do that, it is from my heart. It is a communication of love. It was 5000 bags but we have added to 6000 bags. We are hoping that it should be able to go round.
“I have instructed that everybody should get it, including the workers. In this house, charity begins at home. So, it is for everybody and not just those outside. Whether you need it or not, you will have it. It is a seed with love from me.
“We thank those who have been waiting patiently outside. Don’t kill anybody on my birthday,” the Apostle said during a service to mark the birthday, while charging security operatives to ensure orderliness in the distribution of the rice.
