23-year-old Nigerian lady nabbed with ₦2 million, pistol, drugs In Kogi

A 23-year-old woman, Charity Williams was arrested by the Kogi State Police Command of the Nigeria after she was found in possession of cash, hard drugs, and firearms in the Okene Local Government Area of the state.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Aya in a statement on Friday disclosed that the arrest was carried out by operatives attached to the Okene Division following an intelligence-led raid.

The police spokesman further disclosed that the operation, which took place at a hotel in Oguda village, Okene, was based on a tip-off that a suspected criminal was hiding at the lodge.

“During the raid, one Charity Williams, aged 23, was arrested. Recovered from the room were one locally made Barretta pistol, the sum of ₦2,047,300, six rounds of 9mm live ammunition, hard drugs, an axe, and four mobile phones,” Aya said.

The PPRO further revealed that the room where the items were recovered had been booked by Christopher Kadiri, who is now on the run.

“Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect, while investigation continues,” he added.
