Fire guts residential building, shops in Ebonyi
A fire outbreak which occurred on Monday around Mile 50 Layout, Abakaliki, destroyed property worth millions of naira. A residential building and more than seven shops were gutted in the incident. Confirming the fire outbreak, the Federal Fire Service, Ebonyi Command, said that the incident occurred at Aliugbala-Eze Street located around Eze and Bros Junction.

Nigeria records 1,547 COVID-19 infections
Nigeria recorded 1,547 cases of COVID-19 infections on Sunday bringing the country’s total to 237,561 since the outbreak of the virus on Feb. 27, 2020. The virus has also taken 3,022 lives in Nigeria so far. Nigeria has treated and discharged 212,550 of those infected. 193 of them were discharged from hospitals on Sunday.
