Owen Osemwengie, known as Owen Gee in the Nigerian comedy industry, left the thriving oil and gas industry in 2001 to pursue his talent in comedy.
The versatile entertainer says he is a bad cook , stressing that the only ‘delicacy’ he can prepare is tea.
Speaking with Punch in a chat, he said: “The only thing I can prepare is tea. My wife and I are very close for so many reasons and one of them is that she is a great cook. She prepares all my meals. I am a very bad cook, Infact I cannot boil water”.
The comedian who prefers bow ties to regular long ties said: “I have about 60 bow ties and I fell in love with the bow tie because I found it difficult to knot the long ones. My hatred for the long ones was what attracted me to the bow ties. I tried the bow tie once and I got hooked. Also, the bow tie does not disturb my suit, unlike the long ones that tend to swing from side to side. When people started it as a signature look, I decided to stick with the style.
