It was not a very good awards night for Nigerian artistes as a Burna Boy and Wizkid lost out at the Grammy Awards to Benin’s Angelique Kidjo.
Afro artiste, the legendary Femi Kuti also lost out too
The 61-year old Angelique Kidjo s was nominated alongside Femi Kuti , WizKid (all from Nigeria), Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni, and Hawaii’s Daniel Ho.
The win is the Beninese singer’s fifth of her 40-year- career
Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti lost out in the two categories, Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album
