Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele was reportedly listed among the cast of new Marvel movie ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. The news broke on Wednesday January 10th, which sparked various reactions from Nigerians on social media.
According to reports reaching TheNewsGuru, Funke was never contacted by the producers of the movie and did not go for any casting. The sad story is that someone hacked the website of the movie and included Funke’s name in the list
Amidst the outrage, Funke neither confirmed nor debunked the story. The producers of the movie corrected the great error on Saturday and deleted her name, from the cast of the movie.
Akindele, who became famous for her role in television series ‘I Need to Know’, got married to singer/producer, Abdul Rasheed Bello, better known as JJC Skillz, in London in 2016
