Court clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, others of involvement in Mohbad’s death

A Magistrate Court sitting in Sabo, Yaba area of Lagos on Tuesday, has ruled that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy had no involvement in the death of singer Mohbad.

The court’s decision brings an end to speculations and allegations surrounding the circumstances that led to the passing of  Mohbad.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, ruled that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde had no case to answer.

This decision comes after the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos provided legal advice, which Magistrate Kubenje implemented.

The court’s ruling effectively exonerates the four individuals of any involvement in Mohbad’s death.

The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has announced that it will be pursuing charges against two individuals in connection with Mohbad’s death. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of the late singer, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts, contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

The case against Ogedengbe and Sadiq will be heard at the Magistrate Court.

Mohbad’s fans and family members have been seeking justice and answers since his passing, and the court’s decision provides some closure.

However, many questions still surround the circumstances of his death, and investigations may continue to uncover the truth.
