COVID-19: This is the worst time to be single, alone- Johnny Drille

Soulful singer, Johnny Drille has said the COVID-19 crisis period is the worst for people to be single and alone.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected every aspect of life including the lifestyle of many people.
While the lockdown continues to generate dusts, President Muhummadu Buhari had directed extension of the stay-at-home order in Lagos and Ogun states as well as Abuja, further raising concerns.

In what appeared to be his thoughts on happenings across the country as a result of the virus, the crooner emphasised the need for people to be in the company of their loved ones amid the lockdown.

Drille also explained that his definition of companionship does not only mean boyfriend and girlfriend but also include family and friends.
“This is the worst time to be single and alone,” he wrote. “I said ‘single and alone’. When I say companionship I’m not necessarily or only talking girl/boy I also mean family, friends, “, he said on Twitter.

Drille began his musical career in church. He was one of the contestants on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013.
In 2015, he released a cover of Di’Ja’s “Awww”, which caught the attention of Mavin’s CEO Don Jazzy. His debut single “Wait for Me” was released in 2015. It was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2016.
