Davido expresses shock over sold-out concert in Mayotte

Nigerian pop star, Davido has expressed shock over the success of his concert on Saturday October 27, at the little island of Mayotte, a region in France.

An excited Davido took to his social media platforms, sharing that he got booked in a place he has never heard of.

Davido wrote: “Mayotte, Never heard of this place until we got booked to perform here ! Arrived two days before the show and had problem communicating with the people because of language barrier, even to order food nah wahala ! Touched that stage last night we all spoke the same language.”
Mayotte is a small country with a population of just over 200,000. The island is situated along the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and the coast of Mozambique.
It is an insular department and region of France officially named the Department of Mayotte, though traditional Mayotte culture is most closely related to that of the neighbouring Comoros islands, with the major languages on the island predominantly French and Malagasy.
