Nigerian pop star and DMW boss, Davido who clinched three awards at the just concluded Soundcity MVP awards, extolled the likes of Wizkid, Dbanj, 2face and Olamide for putting Africa on the map.
The ‘Fia’ crooner showered praises on his colleagues for putting Africa on the map, adding that 2018 will be a better year . He made this statement during his acceptance speech for African artiste of the year.
According to him: “Shout out to my brother Wizkid. That’s my brother. That’s one of the people that put Africa on this map,” he said.
He also gave shout outs to 2face, Dbanj, Olamide and the defunct Psquare.
Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, Runtown, Tiwa Savage and Young Jonn were the Nigerians who clinched awards at the event.
