Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Oladipo Daniel, also known as D’banj, is set to perform at the African Military Games Abuja (AMGA) 2024.
The Defence Headquarters in a statement on Tuesday disclosed that the singer and his team would arrive in Abuja on Tuesday ahead of the ceremony scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
The Group Captain, Chris Erondu in a statement noted that his performance at the opening ceremony is aimed at thrilling visiting African Military delegates at the games.
“Abuja residents are by this information reminded and encouraged to en masse attend the AMGA opening ceremony and subsequent events lined up for the games,” the military noted.
Nigeria is set to host the 2nd edition of the AMGA 2024, code-named “AMGA Abuja 2024”, from November 18 -30, reinforcing its leadership position as the hub of military operations in Africa.
The country is hosting the games after a 22-year hiatus. The organisers said this reflects its growing role in fostering African partnership and stability.
