A video showing the moment England’s coach, Sarina Wiegman danced happily and joyfully during an electrifying performance by Nigerian singer Burna Boy at the England Lionesses’ UEFA Women’s Euros trophy parade on Tuesday has surfaced on social media.
Recall the English female team emerged as champions of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 on Sunday night, July 27, after a dramatic final showdown against Spain.
England clinched the title 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time at St. Jakobs-Park in Basel, Switzerland. The victory sparked nationwide celebrations, culminating in a grand parade where Burna Boy, the favourite artiste of England’s coach Sarina Wiegman, took the stage to entertain fans and players alike.
Burna Boy stunned the England women’s team when he stepped on stage and delivered a surprise performance of his chart-topping song “For My Hand”, featuring Ed Sheeran.
When Burna Boy stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted, but it was Wiegman’s reaction stole the show.
Dressed in team colours and beaming with pride, the Dutch-born coach swayed to the music, singing along with Burna Boy before pulling him into a warm embrace, much to the delight of the roaring crowd.
Shedding light on the moment, former England defender and TV pundit Alex Scott later revealed, “Burna Boy is actually Sarina’s favourite artist.”
