Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, Mohbad has come under heavy backlash after he was spotted in a movie production set in Lagos.
This comes after popular filmmaker Ayo Olaiya via Instagram shared a video from the movie production set, capturing moments Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, was seen posing with Nollywood actors and filmmakers.
In another clip, Olaiya and Abebi excitedly approached Mohbad’s father as they posed for pictures.
Sharing the video from the movie set on his page, Ayo Olaiya wrote in a caption: “In everything, give thanks 🙏 only a fool will continue to put life that is nothing but a market place for head. Be the best version of yourself while you are still on the journey. Kadara by @olayinkasolomon01 is cominggggg.”
The now-viral video has upset netizens who criticized Mr. Aloba for engaging in frivolities while his late son, Mohbad, lies cold in the morgue.
“He refused to bury his son, keep innocent son corspe somewhere and doing rubbish up and down”- an angry user commented
Another user remarked: “This movie will be reported and that Youtube channel will go down.”
One user commented: “You Yoruba industry knows how to enable nonsense, some one left his son in cold morgue for 2years now and you people have turn him to sudden celebrity. Shior na why them no rate una.”
Another user wrote: “You people are bunch of enabler and opportunist, if baba mohbad is featured in that movie, the movie will be reported and brought down.”
It has been 652 days, and the body of late Nigerian musician, is lying cold in a morgue somewhere in Lagos State, yet to be laid to rest.
Mohbad died on 12 September 2023, and less than 24 hours after his tragic passing, his father buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Subsequently, a 12-man police investigation was initiated due to controversies surrounding his death, leading to the exhumation of Mohbad’s body on 21 September for an autopsy, the results of which are still pending.
Amidst the ongoing saga, pleas for Mohbad’s burial have surfaced from his family and friends, including his best friend, Bella Shmurda, and his mother, Olumiyi Aloba.
