Gorgeous and soft spoken, Rita Dominic is undoubtedly one of the most revered actresses in Nigeria.
The fashionista made this revelation as a guest on ‘Phantom Xtraordinaire Show’ hosted by reality Tv star, Tobi Bakre.
Asked up the low moment in her career, she said:” At some point in my career, I think I wanted to evolve, do different things and all. The people that we used to work with a lot then, couldn’t be bothered so I wasn’t getting work. So I was blacklisted silently. If you would remember, there was a major blacklisting and some of them got a lot of flak for it.This was silent and I knew it.That was actually one of the things that made me started producing, to form the Audrey Silva Company with my business partner and we went on to produce our first film which was ‘The Meeting’.I starred in it”.
Going down memory lane, Dominic said she used to participate in a lot of Tv shows as a child.
“I used to participate in a lot of TV shows for children and then we were living in Aba in Abia State. I was really young then.So that is really where I actually started performing. We had this show called ‘Children’s Variety’ which took place I think every Saturday. Then ‘Junior opinions’ took place on Sundays. You would see me on these shows. I remember when we go to church, you have children calling my name, running after me”.
