There’s no denying the powerhouse talent of Palmira Mmerife. Palmira as she is fondly called by her fans is a rising vocalist, worship leader and gospel artiste. The melodious singer known for her dazzling vocal strength has performed alongside the likes of Tim Godfrey, Sammy Okposo, BeeJay Sax and a host of others. Her electrifying stage presence never fails to thrill her audience.
In an interview with TheNewsGuru, the light-skinned singer who just released a new song titled Glorious in my eyes , opens up on how she got the inspiration for the song.
Palmira says It took her nine months to be able to make the song. According to her: “A friend inspired the song after he wrote the first verse and gave me. I loved it and ran with it .His name is PITA”.
“It took me this long to put this out because I was facing lots of challenges. Each time I tried, I get serious attacks .On different occasions, I was working on this, I had serious accidents, financial challenges, to the point I started multiple businesses just to save up. But nothing was happening. So I slowed down and I left it to God”.
Speaking on the challenges gospel artistes face, Mmerife says It’s the challenge of getting funding.
Hear her:“The challenge we face is majorly finance, getting funding, especially in the area of promoting a song. It takes money to record a song, it also takes money to promote it, not to talk of shooting a video. It’s quite challenging .There’s more to it but this is just a summary” she said.
