Olatunji Oladotun Alade, a Nigerian rapper, popularly known as Dotman, has taken to social media to express regret over his decision to relocate from Nigeria to the United States of America.
The 32-year-old artiste via his Instagram on Friday cried out, disclosing that although he has been keeping his struggles private, he has been suffering in silence since moving abroad.
The father of two also complained that since he relocated he has not seen his children.
Despite being thankful for life, the Akube crooner admitted that he now wished he had never left Nigeria.
“Today I regret ever deciding to leave Nigeria and move to the USA. I have been struggling so much in silence. Haven’t seen my kids for about two years now. I am grateful to God that I am alive still but I wish I never moved out here honestly”, he wrote.
His post sparked reactions from fans and followers.
A user, timo_sterling, advised him to delete the post, warning, “Take down this your post because of your future status in the USA . This might affect you becoming US citizen.”
Another follower, femi_drealtor wrote: “Stay strong fam but this is exactly what we tell artistes. Do you think Davido, Burna, Big Wiz no get sense? The western life is expensive and they will not give you the visibility that you need. You will spend more money and make less and the home fans that grew with you will start dropping off.”
