PHOTO: King Sunny Ade’s keyboardist, Adesanmi turns ‘pauper’ in the US

Nigeria’s music Legend, King Sunny Ade’s longest Keyboardist, Charles Bamidele Adesanmi has been found in Texas driving Uber for survival.

TheNewsGuru reports that the situation of Adesanmi, renowned to have traveled around the world, played in several shows and concerts came to light after an encounter with Nigerian journalist, George Otumu.

According to the journalist, Charles, now stays in Texas where he allegedly picks passengers on a door-to-door basis in a 12-hour shift to keep his economic empowerment in place.

Speaking to Otumu, the former Keyboardist noted that, despite having travelled the world with King Sunny Ade, he now drive Uber in America to feed.

He said: “You may look me up in Google since I was King Sunny Ade’s longest keyboardist ever. I have traveled, around the world, played shows with the Juju Music Icon. I am just driving this UBER to keep body and soul together.”

The once celebrated successful musician at KSA Organization, worked for 4U Multimedia Studio in America and studied Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.

Further attempts were made to speak with Charles on an elaborative interview regarding his experience while at KSA band and how he migrated to the United States, but he is yet to respond as at press time.
