Popular Nigerian rapper Lil Kesh has broken his silence following a tragic stabbing incident in Lagos.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the singer was stabbed in the neck and had his jewelry stolen. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in broad daylight, and the rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Although, details surrounding the attack are still sketchy, sources close to the rapper confirm that he suffered injuries to his neck and ear.
Speaking, the rapper via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter on Thursday assured his fans, saying he’s healing and blessed.
In his words: “Life threw me a curveball, but i’m safe, healing and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers.”
Born Keshinro Ololade, Kesh began his musical career in 2012 and rode to prominence after releasing several hit singles including ‘Shoki’ and ‘Lyrically’.
He has since continued to blaze the trail in the Nigerian music industry, snagging numerous awards as well as collaborations with other music stars including Davido, Olamide and Patoranking.
In 2016, the former YBNL signee floated Young And Getting It Right (YAGI), a record label, after his contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired.
