Internet sensation, Dede Nne a.k.a Mr Spellz gained prominence over a viral video he featured in where he misspelt ‘Buhari’.
Ever since, Nigerians on social media in a bid to imitate his spelling errors created a trend from his mistakes.
Afro-pop singer, Sexy Steel in a chat with Hip TV revealed why he re-branded the viral sensation.
In his words: “My believe in life is never to look down on anybody. You never can tell who will blow tomorrow. People see this guy as a destitute as less privileged person, you see there is a gift in every man.
“The gift in Mr Spellz is a joke to people, the way he tries to spell things the other way round has made him famous. If he were to be a normal person, by now he might be seeking for a job, he probably won’t get it or get attention from anyone.
“This guy just came out with something that doesn’t make any sense, but at the end of the day, now he is being celebrated”.
Asked why he decided to rehabilitate Mr Spellz, Steel said:”I just thought to myself that the fact that this guy is a celebrity means that he shouldn’t be looking that same way anymore. Whalemouth told me he will be coming to Lagos and I decided to do a total makeover for him”.
