Nigerians lament as VIP section collapses at #NATIVELAND19

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction over the stampede that occurred at Nativeland music festival.
At the concert held at Muri Okunola Park, Lagos the VIP section fell apart leaving several injured.
Pop singer, Fireboy DML, was performing his hit song ‘Scatter’ when the incident occurred, bringing his performance to a momentary stop.Music talents like Lady Donli, Tems, JoeBoy, FireBoy, Buju, Gigi Atlantis, Somadina, DJ Cuppy also performed at the show.
Pop singer, Fireboy wished those who got hurt at the concert quick recovery.
He wrote on Twitter: “Things didn’t exactly go right at NATIVELAND ‘19 but i’m glad we could still vibe and have fun — massive thanks to all of you that came out for me and quick recovery to those that got hurt at the stampede. Love and blessings ,” he said.

 

Naira Marley also spoke on Twitter about the incident.
He said : “Everybody was sad and upset, Stepped in the building had to control the crowd and put a smile back on my peoples face #NATIVELAND19.”

A certain Twitter user @emsiebee noted that gate fell on the friends of her kids at the event.
