Oprah Winfrey denies being arrested for sex trafficking

Renowned media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, has denied bogus claims that she was arrested for sex trafficking.

The 66-year-old media mogul became the number 1 trend on Twitter on Tuesday night, after numerous reports claim her house in Boca Raton, Florida, was being raided, and that she had been arrested on sex trafficking charges.

The rumours appeared to have originated from an online message forum for teenagers and adults.

Oprah, however, took to her Twitter page on Wednesday to issue a denial.

She described the reports as “fake”, adding that she had never been raided by law enforcement for any such offense.

“I just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful fake thing. It’s not true,” the talk show host wrote.

“I haven’t been raided or arrested. Just sanitizing and self-distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe, everybody.”

TheNewsGuru recalls that months back, 50 Cent had accused Winfrey of targeting only black men in her sexual assault documentaries.

“I don’t understand why Oprah is going after black men. No Harvey Weinstein, No Epstein, just Micheal Jackson and Russell Simmons,” the rapper had alleged.
