Paris police foil kidnapping attempt on Nigerian fashion influencer, Kika Osunde

Nigerian entrepreneur and fashion influencer Kika Osunde, co-founder of Good Hair Ltd and Brass & Copper Lifestyle, has reportedly escaped an attempted kidnapping in Paris.

According to an American journalist resident in Paris, Louis Pisano, via the microblogging platform X formerly Twitter, the incident occurred on Friday when three men disguised as delivery workers allegedly tried to abduct her near her residence.

Kika Osunde’s attempted kidnapping in Paris comes just a week after another high-profile fashion-related crime in Paris: the home invasion of Fursac creative director Gauthier Borsarello.

Although official details from the incident remain scarce, local sources confirm that law enforcement is increasing security surveillance in areas frequented by high-profile African entrepreneurs and influencers.

His post reads: “Paris police just foiled a kidnapping attempt on Nigerian luxury fashion influencer Kika Osunde yesterday, who recently moved to Paris. On Sept 4 in Montparnasse, the Search & Intervention Brigade arrested three men who planned to abduct her in broad daylight, disguised as deliverymen.

“I’m telling you Paris is getting fucking scary. There’s a famous French celebrity who lives in our neighborhood & thieves climbed in his windows 4 days ago in the middle of the night & stole €100,000 worth of watches while his model girlfriend slept nearby. Like they’re brazen!!”
