Plane crash survivor emerges America’s Got Talent finalist

Plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi has emerged a finalist at the 2017 edition of America’s Got Talent.Her qualification for the finals was announced on the official Instagram account of AGT.

Against all odds, the Nigerian singer was able to make it to the top ten courtesy of the Dunkin Save voting process, which provides viewers with the opportunity to send the contestant of their choice into the last stage of the talent competition.

The Dunkin Save voting was between Kechi, a magician Colin Cloud, and a dance group Diavolo.

Recall that Kechi had earlier beseeched her fans to help her earn a place on AGT finals, stressing that: “I want nothing more”.

 

In her words: “Ok you guys know that I want nothing more than to earn my place on @agt. I have prayed incessantly that whatever happens, it’s for the right reasons and most importantly, God’s reasons.

“Therefore I believe that all this is ordained, and I can’t wait to share even more experiences with you guys, you amazing people who got me here. I love you guys and I thank you.”

Okwuchi has amazingly gotten four standing ovations from the judges and audience since the competition commenced. Her survival story and vocal dexterity perhaps are the secret weapon she combines in becoming fans favourite.
