The beef reportedly began after Speed Darlington offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at his show—an offer Portable rejected as disrespectful, insisting his standard fee is ₦20 million.

“You’re using my name to promote your show and offering ₦500k? I don’t roll with poor people,” Portable said in a viral video, sparking outrage from Darlington.

A furious Speed Darlington regretted  reaching out, accusing Portable of unnecessary insults and dragging his mother into the fray.

At the weigh-in, tensions escalated further as Portable boasted about his strength, while Darlington fired back with bold confidence, vowing to take home the winner’s belt.

“I’ll finish you. Let’s go now! I’ve done it before—I beat Charles Okocha, and I’ll do it again,” he declared.
