It’s hard to believe that three years ago on June 12 , fans around the world heard the shocking news that Kefee had passed away. The gospel artiste reportedly died of lung failure in a Los Angeles hospital. While every anniversary brings a variety of emotions to fans of the Branama sensation, one can’t help but acknowledge her impact in the Nigerian music industry .Her ever green hit songs, Branama and Kokoro remains irresistible whenever they are being played.
Since her demise, the Nigerian gospel music industry is yet to have a gospel singer who has her kind of fame and broad appeal. Kefee was one gospel singer who broke into the mainstream music via her hit song Kokoro featuring Timaya. Sadly, only a few of her colleagues in the entertainment industry remembered to honour her yesterday which marked the anniversary of her death.Even the likes of Sammy Okposo who were her close allies failed to honour her.
