Reality TV star and actor, Tayo Faniran has reacted to the Ooni of Ife’s wife, Olori Prophetess Naomi’s statement on her alleged marriage crash.
Faniran noted that the presence of royalties on social media is weakening the respect people have for the crown. He also questioned when it became normal for a King or Queen to be explaining their actions to ordinary people.
In his words:” I personally feel Royalties (Kings and queens) should stay off social media ,it’s weakening the respect for the crowns of our lands, since when is it normal for a king or queen to be explaining him/herself to commoners, social media presence is good for all of us these days .
“Royalties can have people do it for them, social media is the rain that fell and packed the duck and fowls in same space .Very soon our kings will start dancing on Tiltok, oh come on this isn’t how the stories were told”.
In a recent interview, Faniran noted that he doesn’t get distracted kissing in movies.
“Professionalism is important. Distractions will make one weak. I was just doing my job. There is no doubt that Uche is beautiful, attractive and a great actor. But when it comes to acting, one has to be professional. We had to make it look real because that is what we are selling to the audience. However, you should know that while filming, there might be about 20 people in the room with us. When one is kissing (in a movie), one cannot afford to get carried away or be distracted. One cannot be a good actor if one does things contrary to what one’s director wants one to do. For me, it was just pure professionalism. I feel honoured to have been in the movie with Uche and I look forward to playing many more roles with other Nollywood actors. I won’t allow distractions make me a weak man”.
