‘Scrubs’ star, Sam Lloyd is dead

Sam Lloyd, an American actor famous for his role as Ted Buckland in ‘Scrubs’, a comedy-drama television series, is dead after battling a brain tumor.

TheNewsGuru recalls that back in January last year, the 56-year-old singer was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor and cancer, which eventually spread to his lungs, jaw, liver, and spine.

Lloyd, however, breathed his last on Thursday, a year after Vanessa Lloyd, his wife, had given birth to their first child together.

“Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted). Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many,” Bill Lawrence, the creator of ‘Scrubs’, said while confirming his death on Friday.

“Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”

Lloyd is also known for his roles in a series of TV shows including ‘Desperate Housewives’, ‘Happy Together’, ‘Shameless’, ‘The West Wing’, and ‘Modern Family’.

He also had guest appearances on ‘Spin City’ and ‘Seinfeld’ and notable credits in films like ‘Galaxy Quest’ and “Flubber’. The late actor is survived by his wife and a child.
