Speaking in a chat with Hip TV, he said: “Being signed to the Mavins has been a life changer for me. A lot of people didn’t see it coming; I didn’t see it coming myself. It’s been a great ride so far, off course it’s a gradual process. I wasn’t expecting to get to that pinnacle or that top I wanted. The good thing about us is that Jazzy is letting us grow ourselves organically instead of forcing us into stardom. With time people will catch up with my sound, off course there are people already loving it

Drille was born and raised in Edo State, Nigeria. He is from a family of seven including a clergy father and mother. He graduated from the University of Benin in 2012 where he majored in English and Literature.
