Singer, Rema laments ASUU strike after gaining admission but yet to start schooling

Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has lamented the prolonged industrial strike action embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Rema recently gained administration into the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to study Creative Arts but was yet to start schooling as a result of the ASUU strike.

“ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o, e don do nau,” Rema, one of the artistes signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Record, and who shot to limelight after he released the single “Iron Man”, stated via Twitter on Monday.

Recall that ASUU embarked on the industrial strike action on February 14th 2022 to press home their demands from the federal government.

The striking lecturers are demanding better welfare from the government, but their action has kept students helpless at home.
