2020 has no doubt been an eventful year in the Nigerian entertainment industry. From rape accusation, to tale of infidelity and other controversial issues, fans had a lot to talk about.

1. Ultimate Love stars Rosie, Kachi saga

Fans of Rosie and Kachi rooted for them on the popular reality TV show, Ultimate Love. The goal of the show was to pair couples in a bid to make them fall in love and ultimately walk down the aisle. Sadly, the pair parted ways just before their anticipated wedding date.Kachi had noted that his partner, Rosie, who was pregnant with his child cunningly aborted the baby and claimed she had an accident.

Countering Kachi’s allegations Rosie noted that she did not have an abortion and further claimed that she was a victim of domestic violence in the relationship, which brought about her miscarriage.

2. Burna Boy vs Davido

Top Music stars, Davido and Burna Boy fought in Ghana. In the viral video which stirred diverse reactions, Davido was seen fuming outside the premises of Twist night club in Ghana after a confrontation with Burna Boy.As at the time of filing this report, both parties neither confirmed nor give details about the much talked about brawl.

3. Tope Alabi paternity controversy

Fans of gospel singer, Tope Alabi were amazed when a man known as Mayegun Olaoye claimed that he is the biological father of the singer’s daughter, Ayomikun.

Though the singer and her husband, Soji Alabi kept mum on the issue, her daughter who is really involved in the controversial issue spoke.

Ayomikun stated she was aware that Olaoye is her biological father but she does not reckon with him as her only father, adding that Soji Alabi is the only father she knows.

4.9ice cheating scandal

Afro-pop singer, 9ice called on Nigerians to help beg Olasunkami, his wife, amid report of a cheating scandal. Recall that a viral video of the ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner caressing another woman had earlier surfaced online generating various reactions.

9ice, in an Instagram post titled ‘save a sinking vessel’, acknowledged he had done “something shameful and terrible.” In a new development on the 30^th of December 2020, the singer shared a picture of himself, wife and daughter, hinting that they have reconciled.

5.D’banj alleged rape controversy

Seyitan Babatayo, a lady, had claimed D’banj raped her at a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos in 2018.’The ‘Scape goat’ dismissed the lady’s account of the said incident as false. In July, Nigeria Police Force (NPF) cleared D’banj of the rape allegations against him.
