Trouble in paradise: Omah Lay unfollows girlfriend amid cheating allegations

Rising singer, Omah Lay has unfollowed Gloria Eberechi, his girlfriend, on Instagram amid cheating allegations.

When TheNewsGuru conducted a check on her Instagram page on Tuesday, it was observed that the afro-pop star no longer follows her, although she still follows him.

Gloria, who is an actress and model, was rumoured to be romantically involved with another guy.

This was after pictures and videos of her hanging out with the new guy surfaced on social media.

The duo are however yet to remark on the rumours.

Omah Lay began his music career at the age of 15 and then rose to prominence after the release of ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’, his two hit singles.

Back in December 2020, Omah Lay following his arrest in Uganda alongside Tems, another fast-rising singer, over their involvement in an unauthorised concert at Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala City.

He was later released after the widespread outrage from Nigerians.

In October, Omah Lay appeared on Olamide’s album Carpe Diem. His feature on Olamide’s track “Infinity” topped the Apple Music charts for Nigeria.

On November 20, Omah lay released his second five-track EP, What Have We Done. All five tracks reached the top 12 of the Apple Music charts for Nigeria, with “Godly” reaching number one.

On July 3, 2020, he was the first artist highlighted for Apple’s Africa Rising Campaign to spotlight African talent. In December 2020, he was included in BBC Radio 1Xtra’s annual “Hot for 2021” list.
