At the just concluded 89th edition of Oscar Awards, Viola Davis made history when she became the 23rd actor to get the”triple crown of acting”, which is used to honour actors who have won at least one acting award at the Oscars, the Emmys and the Tonys.
Davis stands apart becoming the only black star to have ever done it all.
According to her:”People ask me all the time, what kind of stories do you want to tell, Viola?” she said as she accepted her latest accolade. “And I say, exhume those bodies, exhume those stories. The stories of the people who dreamed big, and never saw those dreams to fruition, people who fell in love and lost. I became an artist, and thank God I did, because we are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life” .
