Wakanda craze: Ramsey Nouah slams fans

Anyone who has seen the much hyped movie ‘Black Panther’ hardly forgets the “Wakanda forever” chant and the Wakanda gesture. Various parts of the movie has found it’s way into pop culture to the extent that fans are beginning to believe Wakanda truly exists.

According to Wikipedia, Wakanda is a fictional African nation appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is the most prominent of several native African nations and home to the superhero Black Panther. Wakanda first appeared in Fantastic Four and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Speaking in a recent chat with Hip TV, ace actor Ramsey Nouah cautions fans who have been infected with the Wakanda ‘bug’. He says, Wakanda is overrated and it doesn’t exist.

“ Wakanda is overrated in Nigeria. This is where the reality hits you. Wakanda is fiction, we don’t have it in Africa”.

Nigerian comedian, AY recreated the Wakanda theme at his recent ‘AY live’ show held in Lagos on Easter Sunday.
