Social media influencer Papaya Ex has spoken out about the controversy surrounding her custom-made dress at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding, which featured a photo of the bride’s husband, Juma Jux, on her chest.
In a recent interview with Egungun, Papaya Ex explained that she chose to place Juma’s photo on her chest because she believed it was the most suitable spot, anticipating that Nigerians would criticize her outfit regardless.
“I know Nigerians, a lot of them are very somehow, they criticize everything,” Papaya Ex said. “If I had put the picture here, they’d have still complained.” She claimed that she had informed Priscilla about her outfit choice beforehand, saying, “I had to tell Priscilla, you know I love you, I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. She was like ‘okay, yeah, it’s okay’.”
The N4.5 million outfit sparked a heated debate on social media, with many questioning Papaya Ex’s intentions. However, Papaya Ex maintained that her actions were harmless and that she was simply expressing her admiration for the couple.
