Why I refused to attend Kwam 1,’ mother’s burial – Alhaji Kollington finally breaks silence

Fuji legend Alhaji Kollington Ayinla has stated his reason for staying away from King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate’s mother burial ceremony.

TheNewsGuru reports that K1 De Ultimate, while speaking candidly during an interview on Agbaletu TV, revealed that he felt hurt that Kollington, whom he had supported wholeheartedly when he lost his mother, did not even pay him a visit over his own loss.

According to K1, when his colleague lost his mother, he went above and beyond to help him give his late mother a befitting burial, including footing the entire bill and rallying high-profile guests for the event.

“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum. When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back,” K1 said during the interview.

In a recent interview, Ayinla responded to the allegation by revealing that when Wasiu’s mother passed away, he tried calling him multiple times, but the Fuji star neither answered nor returned his calls.

He stated that since Kwam 1 refused to answer his calls or return them, he decided to let it go. The veteran singer mentioned that Kwam 1 couldn’t be so busy that he couldn’t return his call.

He further emphasized his dominance in Fuji music, noting that the foundation of Fuji music was established prior to K1 De Ultimate’s rise to fame.

In his words: “When Wasiu Ayinde’s mum d!ed, I called him severally. He didn’t pick neither did he return the calls. Even on New Year Day, I called and he didn’t pick up.

“I was like what’s wrong with this boy so I let him be. He can’t tell me he was busy. What was he busy doing? If it is because he was crowned The ‘Olori omoba’, that position is for his family at Ijebu, not for me.

“Does he want to become God? I am the leader of all Fuji Singers. If he wants to become the leader, he can come and kpai me. He can never be the leader when I am still alive. For me to have survived the sickness that happened to me recently, it is only God that can kpai me.”
