A young woman Quantasia Sharpton, has alleged that RnB singer violated her by not letting her know he purportedly has herpes.
At a press conference in New York, she stated that she was present at one of his concerts to celebrate her birthday with friends when she was chosen to go backstage
She further revealed that one of his security picked her up and told her Usher had seen her while backstage and would like to hook up.
The security got her number and thereafter, Sharpton and Usher met at a hotel where she said they had sex without letting her know of any STDs he may have had.
She came to the press briefing with lawyer, Lisa Bloom, who stated she would be filing a lawsuit on behalf of two women and a man who claim to have had sexual contact with Usher.
Bloom says the lawsuit is intended at compelling Usher to reveal whether he has herpes or not before having sex with any other person in future.
The legal representative also said one of the accuser’s lab results for herpes returned positive, though, refused to mention if it was as a result of sexual contact with Usher.
Amazingly, Usher is yet to confirm or deny he has the virus and his wife is not bothered by the allegations trailing him.
The Centres for Disease Control and Preventions says Genital herpes is common in the United States. In the United States, about one out of every six people aged 14 to 49 years have genital herpes. You can get herpes by having vaginal, anal, or oral sex with someone who has the disease.
Fluids found in a herpes sore carry the virus, and contact with those fluids can cause infection. You can also get herpes from an infected sex partner who does not have a visible sore or who may not know he or she is infected because the virus can be released through your skin and spread the infection to your sex partners.
