Controversial media personality Scott Iguma has been granted bail over charges of cybercrime, alleged dissemination of false information and issuing threats to life.
Recall that, the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikoyi, last week Thursday ordered Scott Iguma to be remanded in prison.
On Wednesday, the influencer was arrested and detained in Panti Police Station for accusing a real estate company, PWAN, of defrauding customers.
However, in a new development on Monday Justice Friday Oghazi of the Federal High Court granted the social media influencer bail in the sum of N10 million, with one surety in like sum.
In his ruling, the judge specified that the surety must present documents proving ownership of property within the court’s jurisdiction.
Alternatively, the surety may be a civil servant with either the Federal or Lagos State Government, not below Grade Level 12 and must provide evidence of tax payment.
Justice Oghazi ordered both the complainant and the defendant to refrain from making public comments about the ongoing case, either online or through media platforms, as the matter is now before the court.
