The well orchestrated rendezvous of presidential candidates, Governor Nyesom Wike, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and others has been trailed by confusion properly laced with confusion.
In this brief news analysis, TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) will take a look at the outcome and reactions so far by some of the critical stakeholders.
These powerful Nigerian politicians, Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice president for eight years, Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of the richest state in Nigeria for eight years, Donald Duke another former Governor of Cross River State, who served for eight years, Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State who also served for eight years, serving Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for almost eight years, Samuel Ortom, another serving Governor for almost eight years, the rave of the moment Governor, Nyesom Wike and others.
The credentials of the above political gladiators are intimidating but the thrust of their meeting is still not very clear as there are discordant tones echoing and re-echoing.
But since all these men who had tasted power at different times arrived, the signal that Nigerians are receiving is confusing as there are no clear indications as to why the meeting was held in the first place.
Barely 72 hours after, the Obi-Datti campaign office has denied ever signing any accord with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku as they bluntly and vehemently condemned those who threw such an embarrassing statement before netizens.
The statement condemning the damning report went viral immediately.
Presidential candidate of LP, Peter Obi further giving vent to this position on same day advised Nigerians to ignore claims from proxies but should patiently wait for only presidential candidates.
Ortom, Ikpeazu all in a viral video declared that they were still consulting on how to move the immobile Nigerian project forward.
Wike spoke in a similar vein but tactically dropped a bomb shell saying though they met the presidential candidate of PDP but no concrete position was taken on various issues.
He nailed it when he said leadership is not about you and your son becoming governor but about everybody, apparently referring to the Jigawa based politician.
The social media in its usual style had gone to town with promises of juicy positions which none of the critical stakeholders mentioned in the interview granted to the media.
Atiku, apparently reading the hand writing on the wall declared that Wike will be a major linkpin in the PDP thrust to wrestle power from APC.
All powerful former president Olusegun Obasanjo has not said anything so far, Nigerians only saw him in a viral group photograph with the new critical stakeholders of the Nigerian project.
From all the media and political noise made so far, nothing can be targeted at as genuine outcome of the UK rendezvous laced with confusion.
Which way Nigeria as the signals on ground clearly indicate one thing, Nigerians are no longer smiling.
